LECTURE: PROGRESS

Progress in St. Gaspar, Part IV of the Original Constitutions

“PROGRESS” in St. Gaspar Bertoni’s Constitutions is a rather lengthy document of about 150 pages 12 gauge print. St. Gaspar presents this central dynamic principle as Part IV of his Original Constitutions. These numerous reflections are in the various phases of the dynamic development needed in living the Stigmatine charism.

The Church has insisted much on continuing renewal, as we read:  “The Church is in constant need of purification”.  For Religious and Priests, the clarion call since Vatican II has been: ‘Life-long Updating”; “Continuing Conversion”; “On-going Formation”, and the like.

In these lectures, St. Gaspar’s plan of PROGRESS will be developed in a series of lectures, and each of these is about one half-hour in length.
